Merry Christmas everyone! Hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and got some goodies ;-).
Well this week I'm 18 weeks pregnant AKA FIVE MONTHS!
I'm feeling better as in my cramping isn't as bad at all. That could be because the insane Christmas rush is now over and I have been home hanging out instead of running around crazy LOL. Oh and guess what?! I have been feeling baby move a little lately! Happy happy! Hoping that means by 20 weeks my Placenta Previa will have corrected itself. Here's to crossing fingers and praying!
Other then that I have been fighting a congestive cough. By the way the Neti Pot does NOT help with this so I'm SOL LOL. Cough meds help at night but make me sleep mouth wide open in other words I wake up all dry and yucky mouthed with a sore throat. Nice......
Baby girl got two teddies for Christmas :-). One is a soft angel Teddy bear that sings a lullaby and moves it's head. The other is one of those pacifier teddy bears. You loop the pacifier into a loop on the bears hand so if baby throws the paci you can reach behind you...while driving...LOL and feel for a teddy bear instead of a small pacifier ;-). And a good friend who's baby is 6 months gave me their super cute infant swing and matching bassinet. Big thanks to them!!!
Weight- Still the same yahhh me. Even though I'm not really exercising at all because of the pressure I get after I walk of stand for too long I'm still at 109. So still only 5 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight. Happy about that!
Here's my pic! Happy Holidays everyone! I'll post again next year ;-). Hopefully next week I will get my registry started! I'll update you on it.

17 weeks pregnant
OK so sorry, Christmas has made me a little behind! So last week I was 17 weeks pregnant.
By the way if you didn't already know....IT'S A GIRL!!!! YAHOOOOO! SOOOO EXCITED!!! We got out our cards to our close friends and fam then I announced on Facebook! SOOOOO excited for our baby girl! She already has a few outfits ;-). CA-UUUUUUUUUTE!
At 17 weeks I was having lots of bad cramping. I couldn't stand/walk for long periods of time. Sooooo I was told by my doc I had to buy a maternity belt to help support the pressure the baby was making. Oh and I was told I could take Extra Strength Tylenol Let me tell you finding a size small maternity belt is not easy. I finally broke down and drove to the mall...days before Christmas.....fun.
Apparently there are three brands of maternity belts ranging from $20, $30 and $40. I asked to try on the $20 belt. The sale woman and Motherhood Maternity told me she normally does not recommend anyone to buy this belt it doesn't give woman enough support. But she said since I am so small I should try it. I did and it was fine. The "expert" sales woman who was very informative, said she thinks in my case the $20 belt would be fine for me and do what I needed it to do. The curious person I am I asked "Well, What's the difference in the belts besides the price?" She let me try on the $30 belt so I could see the difference. My $20 belt really just is the shape of a belt. It raps around your belly, you Velcro in front. You are suppose to down by your pelvic bone to support under your belly. Then there are two strips of Velcro on each side to tighten the belt. Now the other two belts have a wider band part on the back to support your back more. I opted for the $20 belt. It wasn't as bulky, less expensive and seemed more comfortable.
Besides the pain I was in most of that week, and missing out on walking the trail of lights with the kids.I also got a cold AGAIN!!!! This time it's a lingering cough with congestion....lovely.
Let's see what else was I up to in Week 17. I started looking around for Thanksgiving and Christmas outfits in the size baby girl will need next year. Found some good deals on Clearance! I started planning her DIY nursery :-)! Gotta love Pinterest!
By the way here is a good website I found if you can't figure out what trimester or month you are actually in.

16 weeks Pregnant
Well I have had an eventful week! Went to my 16 week appt. on Monday. I explained to the doc that I had been feeling baby since week 11, movements got stronger and more frequent at week 14. Then at week 15 NOTHING. I feel nothing. No flutters no thumping in there. So doc decided to be safe and do an ultrasound. Well I found out two things. One....the sex of the baby :-) and two....PLACENTA PREVIA! Not good. I have a low lying placenta as of now. Hopefully as baby grows my placenta will move to the correct spot. We will check again at week 20. But baby was doing great! Lots of crazy karate moves going on in there. Moving so much doc couldn't even get a picture!
So on Wednesday I had already had a 2D sono scheduled at Blooming Pregnancy in Austin so hubby could come along and we had planned to find out the sex of the baby. So technically this sono was double checking to make sure LOL. So YUP we know what team we are! I'll announce on next weeks post after everyone gets their Christmas cards. The sonographer also confirmed my Placenta Previa. .
Baby is still measuring big and probably will the whole pregnancy. I'm looking forward to another long skinny baby ;-).
OHHHHH and guess what else came to visit this week.....Round ligament pains....sad face. Drink lots of water it helps.
As for my Placenta Previa I looked it up and as the doc called it "Yes it's a BIG DEAL" if it doesn't fix itself. It can cause bleeding episodes and I'll have a lot more restrictions OH and I will be forced to have a repeat csection. As of now I am still debating a csection or Vback. Guess Placenta Previa will make up my mind.
Here are some sono pics minus the pics showing what we are having ;-). Feel free to take a guess!

DIY Simple Scarf
Awwww SNUGGLE FLANNEL! Well I went to my local Joann's yesterday to get Fleece for a deep pocket scarf I wanted to make. BUT my local Joann's is moving location in February. And for whatever reason they have decided to STOP stocking any of there fabrics. Great....that blows.....so I ended up for two 2 yards of two different Snuggle Flannel fabrics. Super cute but I wasn't able to make the scarf I wanted to originally make. Sooooo I thought about it and decided on something simple
:-).
So here is my simple scarf.
Supplies:
2 yards of Snuggle Flannel
Scissors/Rotary cutter
Measuring tape
Pins
Iron
Sewing Machine
Take your 2 yards of flannel and fold it in half long ways then cut. So you will cut on the longest edge.
Now get your iron and pins out. What I did next was unfold the fabric and fold in a half inch along all of the edges. I pinned to keep in place as well as ironed along the way.
After you are done with pinning and ironing. Re fold your fabric over and adjust your pins so you are now pinning the two sides together. Once that is perfectly lined up go to your sewing machine and pick a straight stitch and stitch along all the way around. And WA-LA!
Please excuse my PJ's and slippers ;-) hmmmm I should have go some extra flannel to make some preggo PJ pants! Next time!

15 weeks pregnant
15 weeks preggo and going strong! LOL So let's see how's my week been going....I've worn myself out LOL! Christmas is a huge distraction when counting down the weeks till babies arrival.
Last week I started feeling baby moving around a lot more and stronger. BUT this week NOTHING :-(. I of course was a little worried. I called the doc and nurse tells me to not worry about it I have an appt. next week. Told me to try to lay in a quiet space drink something cold and or sweet and see if I feel anything....I feel nothing. BOOOO. She says baby might be hiding behind the placenta. I want this little bun in the over to get active! We have our early sono next week and I WANT to see "PARTS" LOL.
On the bump I got from some woman they had the same thing no movement for a week or two then baby started moving steady again. So hopefully come next week I'll have my little kick boxer back. I will be wishing for the opposite come 3rd trimester I know. But right now the little movements make me at peace.
So anyways besides driving myself nuts with planning Christmas, shopping for Christmas and planning our Gender reveal photo on top of working part time and volunteering I am doing A OK. Feeling fine lots of energy even when I'm exhausted I did how ever almost cry the other morning. After craving a Kolache I started to eat it and.....baby said NO BUENOS! WHHHHAAAAHHHHHH! I wanted that dang Kolache too LOL!
Next update will be next Wednesday after I have had my 16 week check up AND my early sono AND my first dentist appt while I'm pregnant. Uhhhh I hate the dentist.
OH real quick I ran across this website on the Bump and wanted to share. It has great ideas for Maternity Fashion!
