26 Weeks Pregnant

I feel like I have really POPPED...so not comfortable LOL. Even hubby said WOAH that belly has grown! LOL
So week 26 has been pretty good. Baby girl is kicking all the time and I do mean like ALLL NIGHT LONGGGGGG. Oh and I got my first Braxton Hick this week. Woke me right out of my sleep! I had them a lot with my older daughter so we shall see how this pregnancy goes.
Hmmm what else! Well we finished more of the baby bedding! The diaper stacked, crib blanket and organizer! And my baby shower invitations went to all my guests! Super excited about that!
Other then that I have just been starting to get a little stressed about making sure we hurry up and get ready for baby to be here and how my older daughter will be cared for when I go in for my csection. Since she will still have two weeks of school at that point. That really stresses me out LOL.
Brainstorming on how I want to make the DIY mobile and what decorations I want to use on the wall :-) I think I need the crib and dresser in the room so I can get INSPIRED!

Here's my belly pic!

Charlie Banana Cloth Diapers with optional disposable inserts!

SO! I am thinking of every way possible to save money with the new baby. One idea is cloth diapers....but it does seem kind of welllll GROSS LOL. But that was until I found these lovelies! The brand is Charlie Banana. They have excellent reviews. They are sold in store at Target WHOO HOO!!! And Babies R Us. The awesome-ness of these are not only do you have the option of using a disposable insert but they come in a "one size" so you use them from 0-30 months!
What I found is that Target is the least expensive  You can also purchase them on line from Target, Amazon, Babies R Us, and from the Charlie Banana website. This goes for the disposable inserts as well.
You can buy individual one size for around $19, a value pack of 6 one size for $109. You can also buy a pack of 3 XS for $44. They sell actual sizes XS, S, M, L, XL if you rather have a true to size diaper.
My plan:
-I have value packs on one size and XS on on my baby registry. BUT I am also going to buy one diaper a week until baby comes so I have extras. I do plan on using disposable liners, they look like a pack of wipes. I am thinking I want to get at least 6 XS diapers so it fits baby better as a newborn. And then at least 15 adjustable one size.
-Also I have disposable diapers on my registry. We plan on using disposable ones when we are out and about. From what I hear it's easier. It still saves a lot using the reusable ones at home.

Here are some pictures of the one adjustable size diaper I got today at Target. They come in lots of different colors and patterns! TOO cute! And SUPER soft! The individual diapers come with two reusable inserts. These are used if you are only using the diaper as a reusable diaper. You can buy the disposable inserts separately.

I immediately adjusted mine to XS to see how small it got. It has lots of snaps in the front to fit to baby. See the super cute print on this one?!

There is an elastic band enclosed inside of the legs similar to a bra strap. It tells you how to size each side. There is an XS, two S's, two M's and two L's. This helps make sure to keep the legs nice and snug around the diaper to prevent leakage.

Here are the two reusable inserts. It says at 4 months to use both inserts for extra leakage protection.

See all the snaps?

Happy to share my first cloth diaper purchase! I bought mine at Target. I'm excited to use them in 13 weeks!!!

** Other plans to save money on baby- Nursing for as long as possible and jarring our own baby food from our garden produce :-)

Man Bouquet

I love making my hubby gifts for Valentine's Day. This year I decided to make a Man Bouquet. It was super easy and can be made for anyone and any occasion.
Here's mine....

Supplies:
The gifts you are using in your man bouquet. I used candy bars and Dip ;-) You could also use mini liquor bottles  gift cards, lotto tickets ect.
Vase (or you could use a mug)
Floral Styrofoam (get what best fits your vase or mug
Skewers
Tissue Paper
Tape glue or whatever you have to make your "gifts" stick to the sticks LOL
Card

First start by wrapping your Styrofoam with tissue paper. Now this is also going to depend on what you are using, size shape of vase or mug. Mine us square so I used a square block of Styrofoam and wrapped with tissue paper like this...then placed it into my vase.

Now time to start taping your gifts to the sticks and placing them into your Styrofoam.

TA-DA! All done! Now write something super sweet in your card or make a card....I normally do but ehhhh I have a lot of DIY projects going on right now LOL.

25 weeks pregnant

So 25 weeks pregnant went pretty well ;-). Only issue I had was ....dizzy spells. I tarted having episodes were I got blurred vision and dizzy. I called my doc and he had me come in to check my blood pressure but blood pressure was fine. He asked me how my glucose test came back. I told him ummmm....wellll....I never got a call back so I ASSUMED I passed. Doc checked the results and found that my blood sugar was actually very low for some one who just drank a bunch of sugar. He asked me how much I eat. And I admitted I'm not the best at remembering to eat. I do eat I just don't eat a lot. My snacks are fruit & veggies. Doc says my body over produces insulin so I need to EAT... and he isn't talking about fruits and veggies he wants me to eat snacks all day long anything to get carbs ect. in me. I'm suppose to call him on Monday to tell him how I'm doing.
Besides that week 25 was great! We finished painting the nursery  Grape Hyacinth 25% lighter. And I finished the curtains and put them up on a beautiful curtain rod from Lowe's. And my Aunt finished the crib bumper! So excited!
I also found a cloth diaper at Target called Charlie Banana that has disposable inserts. AWESOME! I'm really wanting to use these! I bought one to start. I plan on getting one a week until baby comes. I also added them to my registry. I'll put up a separate post about it ;-).
As for me still at 10 lbs, still wearing normal tops but size 1 or SX maternity jeans. It's getting harder to shave or get comfy and I certainly can't eat large meals at one time. I fill up immediately. Baby is always in my rib cage.
OH OH OH!! Hubby got me a gift certificate for a massage at Blooming Pregnancy for my Valentines Day gift! I'm going to make myself try to wait on using it LOL....this will be hard.

24 Weeks Pregnant

Ohhh yes the last week of my second trimester! Which means I'll be 7 months on Saturday which means the beginning of being uncomfortable...LOL
So went to my 24 week appointment this week. Doc says I'm measuring perfectly. Babies heart beat is 104 a minute which is perfect. I'm up 10 pounds from pre pregnancy weight which is great. All though big sisters bday was this week and I have had a lot of cake.....I'm bout to take my behind for a walk after I post ;-).
Baby has found my rib cage this week. Ahhhhhh the joys of getting bigger. I really do enjoy watching her move across my stomach. It cracks me up. But girrrrl once she gets something caught in my rib cage I swear I jump right out of my seat!
Starting to pick up a few items for the baby. I'm getting nervous that the day is getting closer and we don't have much of anything yet. Especially none of the essentials  I can't wait for my baby shower so I can feel better and know what we need to plan to buy ourselves.
Other then baby growing I'm feeling great. Still wearing my XS maternity pants that are a lil big. And still wearing normal tops just putting tanks under most if they are getting to short.
Next doc appt. is at 28 weeks. I get another sonogram to check on my low lying placenta and then I go back to see my doc about the results. Hoping for the best!
